Shadow Teams are used for many covert operations against Nod's enemies, including Hellcat Squadran. The shadow teams are deadly assains and much more not many people have survived face to face combat with them and many of those that have survived were turned into Kane's agents.

In the Doom-Verse, Kane utilizes the Shadows as bodyguards for him and his allies. Each leader in the Coalition has at least one Nod Shadow Team for bodyguards.

- Despite their Elite Status in-series, the Nod Shadow is one of IceBite (User)'s favorite 'cannon-fodder' enemies (or enemy-type he kills off the most).
